It is the duty of all Guru Bandhus to worship Sadguru every day by practicing any one of Nava Vidha Bhakthi i.e. in the form of offering Pooja, doing Parayn of holy books, keertan (singing glory of the Guru) etc.
It is a blessing to Guru Bandhus to worship our beloved Swamy on the days/dates that are auspicious for that avatar. One such auspicious date is 30th April which is connected with Swamy Samarth.
Swamy Samarth is 4th incarnation of Lord Datta. It is believed that 2nd Incarnation of Lord Datta - Sri Narasimha Saraswathi Swamy after doing Penance for 300 years appeared as Swamy Samarth at Akkalkot in the year 1856. He showed many miracles and showered his grace on many. When many devotees asked his whereabouts, Swamy used to say that his name was Narasimha Bhan and he came for Kadalivan.
It is also believed that Swamy visited Maniknagar and stayed with 3rd incarnation of Lord Datta - Shri Manikprabhu Maharaj and both were involved in deep spiritual discussions.
In many instances, he stated that Shiridi is his resting place and he is blessing everyone in the form of Saibaba. Shri Sai also gave many experiences to devotees visiting him that he is none other than Akkalkot Maharaj. You can find these stories mentioned in Chapter 5 & 26 of Shri Sai Satcharitra. Swamy showed spiritual path to many and elevated many souls, protected many devotees by his divine power and had shown many miracles.
One day suddenly Swamy announced that the time had come for him to go out of his physical existence. By Hindu calendar It was Chaitra Sudha trayodasi, Shaka 1800 i.e. the year 1878 AD Tuesday at 4 PM, he seated himself in Padmasana (Lotus Posture) and uttered his last words – “No one should weep I shall always be present at all places and I shall respond to every call of the devotees”.
As per Gregorian calendar it was on 30th April which is today. Hence we request all Sai Anugraha family members & Guru Bandhus to remeber our beloved Swamy today and read either Chapter 5 or Chapter 26 or both chapters from Sai Satcharitra or read any parayan books on Swamy Samarth without fail. Also, please offer Curd rice with Lemon Pickle and Onion if possible as Naivedyam to Shri Swamy.
As you know Lord Datta is “Smatrugami” which means one who responds instantly when thought of and "Smarana Matra Santhusth" which means who is pleased and happy just by mere remembrance of his name. Let us remember and get divine blessings of Shri Maharaj.
